How to Make Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Air Fryer Cookies
This recipe was brought to us by Diane Neth from Menno, South Dakota. It yields about 6 dozen small cookies.
What You’ll Need
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 cups quick-cooking oats
- 1-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 package (3.4 ounces) instant vanilla pudding mix
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups (12 ounces) semisweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup chopped nuts, if desired
Step 1: Prep the fryer
Preheat the air fryer to 325°F. Line the fryer basket with foil.
Step 2: Mix the cookie dough
In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugars until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs and vanilla. In a separate bowl, combine the oats, flour, dry pudding mix, baking soda and salt. Gradually add the dry mixture to the creamed mixture and mix well. Fold in the chocolate chips and nuts.
Step 3: Air fry!
Roll dough by the tablespoon-ful into balls. Flatten each ball slightly with the back of a spoon. Place the cookie dough balls 2 inches apart on the foil-lined fryer basket. Air fry the cookies for 5 to 8 minutes or until lightly browned. Carefully transfer the cookies to wire racks to cool. Repeat with the remaining dough. Enjoy a cookie or two with a tall glass of milk!
Test Kitchen tip: In our testing, we have found cook times vary dramatically between brands of air fryers. As a result, we have given wider than normal ranges on suggested cook times. Begin checking at the first time listed and adjust as needed.
