Coca-Cola Just Dropped Strawberry Coke, and We Can Already Taste Summer

Strawberry Coke just hit the shelf—but there’s a catch.

It may be winter, but we’re already dreaming of a poolside lounge chair and an even tan, complete with the distant thumping of nostalgic music and a cold glass of Coca-Cola. The soda giant seems to be thinking our way, too. Last year, they released Orange Vanilla Coke, the first new flavor in over a decade, just ahead of the summer sun. Now, there’s a new flavor: Strawberry!

Strawberry Coke is the latest and greatest from Coca-Cola—but with a catch. Right now, the flavor is only available in China and Japan.

It’s the Fruity Coke We’ve Been Missing

Strawberry Coke has only been a thing since last week, but fans are already raving about the flavor. It comes as no surprise, considering Cherry Coke is still a fan-favorite years after its debut. The soda packs in the classic punch of bubbly Coca-Cola and the sweet tang of strawberry, which apparently smells incredible.

The new flavor was discovered via Instagram, courtesy of @Szecret.Corner based in Hong Kong. The comments are packed with American envy of the brand-new taste, and we admit we’re a little jealous, too. We can only hope the Strawberry flavor will pop up in the Coke Insiders Club boxes.

Not too big on Coke? Ginger Sprite is sure to be your new favorite bevvie.

Will the States Get a Taste?

Right now, it’s kind of up for debate. Japan is no stranger to exclusive Coke flavors we never get to see in the U.S., like Vanilla Float Coke. Still, we have our fingers crossed that Strawberry Coke will float our way soon.

While you wait, keep an eye out for fresh flavors popping up ahead of summer. We know Coca-Cola won’t let us down!
