Eggo Is Making Pumpkin Pie and Gingerbread-Inspired Pancakes This Fall

You can have pumpkin at every meal of the day—including breakfast!

It’s well-known that a good day starts with a good breakfast. You can go ahead and pop Eggos in the toaster for a quick meal—but we’re not talking about the waffles…we’re talking pancakes. It looks like there’s another brand jumping on the pumpkin spice trend this fall!

Eggo plans to introduce two seasonal pancake flavors: Pumpkin Pie and Gingerbread Cookie.

Let’s Fall into a Sweet Breakfast

It’s no secret that some of us really love a sweet breakfast in the morning, and there’s no better breakfast than a stack of pancakes. While some of us may enjoy the process of making pancakes, others prefer something premade and quick. There’s so much to do in a day and never enough time to do it, which is why frozen meals can be a lifesaver. You can pop one Eggo pancake in the microwave for 30 seconds and breakfast is served!

Instagram user @candyhunting has revealed that we’re in for some seasonal treats soon. For autumn, we can expect a Pumpkin Pie flavor, and for the holiday season, a Gingerbread Cookie flavor. Delicious.

Lucky for me, pumpkin and gingerbread are my favorite flavors from both respective seasons. The fluffiness of the pancakes mixed with the subtle spices will make for a great morning meal. You don’t have to add syrup, but some maple syrup on top of a short stack would be a nice finishing touch.

When Will They Be Available?

It looks like the Pumpkin Pie flavor is already at stores—no word on what chains specifically are carrying these Eggos, though Safeway definitely has them. Gingerbread Cookie has not been seen yet, although it should appear in the freezer aisle closer to the holiday season. Expect both Eggo flavors at major retail stores and markets like Walmart or Meijer.

Be sure to keep your eyes on the frozen breakfast aisle next time you go shopping!
