How to Measure Honey Without a Mess

TikTok user @frederikkewaerens shared the most ingenious way to add honey to your dry ingredients. There’s no need to squeeze honey into a measuring spoon and try to scrape it out with a spatula. And definitely no more mess.

With your dry ingredients, like flour, added to a mixing bowl, create a well using the intended measuring spoon. This will work for teaspoons, tablespoons and even small measuring cups! Gently push the measuring cup or spoon into the flour to create an impression. Once the well has been created, squeeze or pour the honey into the well until it’s full for an accurate measurement.

This hack definitely works for honey, but you could also use it for other sticky ingredients, like maple syrup and corn syrup. For thicker ingredients, like peanut butter and Nutella, spray a measuring cup with cooking oil to keep the contents from sticking. It’s that easy!
