Krispy Kreme Is Handing Out Free Doughnuts to Healthcare Workers

It's a sweet way to say thank you to those keeping us safe.

When times are tough, sometimes a sweet pick-me-up is exactly what we need. And while healthcare employees are hard at work, restaurants are thanking them for their time and effort. Starbucks is handing out free coffee to first responders, and now Krispy Kreme is giving healthcare workers complimentary doughnuts, too.

Free Doughnuts For Healthcare Workers

Every Monday from now through National Nurses Week (which is May 6-12), Krispy Kreme is providing all healthcare workers with free dozens of Original Glazed doughnuts. To pick up the sweets, simply visit a Krispy Kreme drive-thru, tell them how many dozens you need and show your employee ID. That’s it!

Pick up some doughnuts on the way to work for you and your colleagues or snag a free dozen on your way home to family after a long shift. Either way, they’ve got you covered with up to five dozen doughnuts per healthcare professional.

Free Doughnuts For You, Too

Krispy Kreme is also sharing the joy with a special treat for all customers. On Saturdays beginning March 28, Krispy Kreme will offer a buy-one-get-one-free deal. For each Original Glazed dozen you buy, you’ll get another “Be Sweet” dozen for free. This extra dozen includes 11 Original Glazed and one special Smiley Face doughnut.

Krispy Kreme is encouraging customers to put a smile on a neighbor’s face by giving them the free treats. Each extra dozen will be sealed and bagged individually with instructions for contactless drop-off, including social distancing and safety guidelines. We know we’d be happy to find a box of doughnuts on our front porch!

Ever tried to make your own doughnuts? Here’s how.
