Krispy Kreme’s Reese’s Doughnuts Are BACK—and One of Them Is Permanent

Start your day out right by waking up your sweet tooth.

If there’s one thing that gets us moving in the morning, it’s a box of fresh doughnuts from Krispy Kreme. The sweet treat giant has been waking us up on the right side of the bed for years with their classic, kreme-filled glazed doughnuts and huge menu. Just when we thought Krispy Kreme couldn’t get any more delicious, they proved us wrong.

Krispy Kreme Brought Back Reese’s Doughnuts!

Krispy Kreme went all out for chocolate and peanut butter fans with three different flavors for the past three years, and they’ve all debuted once again for a limited time. The classic Reese’s doughnut was released in 2017 and features peanut butter kreme filling, Hershey’s chocolate icing and a chocolate and peanut butter drizzle all topped off with peanut butter chips.

In 2018, Krispy Kreme released the Reese’s Outrageous Donut, a chocolate doughnut dunked in decadent Hershey’s icing and finished with caramel and peanut butter drizzle and a sprinkle of Reese’s Pieces.  Finally, Krispy Kreme rolled out the Reese’s Original Filled Chocolate Lover’s Donut in 2019, which was wildly popular courtesy of the peanut butter kreme filling, Hershey’s icing and a conservative drizzle of Reese’s peanut butter icing.

Love this? Just wait until you hear about the Reese’s variety pack.

Only One of Them Will Stay

This year is a little different—instead of producing an all-new doughnut, Krispy Kreme is letting you choose which creamy creation from the past three years stays in stores. While all of the doughnuts are available for the time being, Krispy Kreme will declare a winner based on popular opinion, and that doughnut will be a permanent fixture on the roster of Krispy Kreme flavors.

If you’re feeling patriotic for your favorite Reese’s flavor, you can post on the social media platform of your choice with the hashtags #TheGreataste and #KrispyKreme. (Between you and us, we’re partial to the Reese’s Outrageous Donut.)

Here’s When and Where to Grab Yours

If you love Reese’s as much as you love doughnuts, you need to get to Krispy Kreme. The returning flavors officially launched on July 24. The two losing doughnuts will disappear from menus after August 16. Get in early and campaign for your favorite doughnut ASAP!

You have to see what’s on the menu at this new Krispy Kreme, too. Can’t manage to find one? Learn how to make doughnuts at home!
