Yes, the Instacart study helped us uncover the most popular Halloween candy. But it also came to the following conclusions:

The regional licorice divide is real. Twizzlers are a Midwest thing, while Red Vines fans are clustered on and around the West Coast. Here are some more classic regional foods.

People still buy candy corn. You either love it or you hate it; I personally prefer the pumpkins. Instacart’s survey shared that 1 in 4 Americans despise this Halloween candy. Still, candy corn still made its way into the top 10 list. It’s tradition, I guess.

Western states have a serious sweet tooth. Survey data showed that more Instacart customers in the West purchased Halloween candy than in the East. Looking at you, Utah, Montana, Idaho, Alaska and Washington.
