Nominate Someone You Know for a FREE Disney Trip
Know a "magic maker" who goes above and beyond in their every day? You can nominate them for a free trip to Disney World—here's how.
After a quieter year in the parks since the pandemic hit, Disney is ready to celebrate big time and create some magic.
The pandemic impacted everyone, and Disney is looking to recognize and give back to those who helped our communities push through. The company is donating $400,000 across four non-profits that worked in many ways to keep us moving forward—Make-A-Wish, Starlight Children’s Foundation, Boys & Girls Clubs of America, and The Nature Conservancy.
But it doesn’t stop there—50 “magic makers” will win a free Disney trip.
How to Nominate a Magic Maker
Right now, Disney is asking its fans to nominate “magic makers” that they know. The Disney Parks Blog shares that the magic comes in all shapes and sizes—whether it’s a single act of kindness or something bigger, Disney wants to hear it.
To nominate the magic maker in your life, all you need to do is head over to disneymagicmakers.com and share the positive impact they’ve left on the people and communities around them. Disney is also encouraging applicants to share a public post on TikTok, Instagram, Facebook or Twitter with the hashtag #DisneyMagicMakers.
Applications opened on June 22, 2021, and the contest comes to a close on October 1. 50 nominees will be selected based on their stories and given a free trip to Walt Disney World Resort, along with a year-long subscription to Disney+.
It’s All for Disney’s 50th Anniversary
The cause for celebration? Disney’s 50th anniversary is this year—get ready for big things beyond the fireworks shows.
This 50 anniversary only happens once, so Disney isn’t wasting any time. During the day, park-goers can find golden sculptures of our favorite characters scattered around the parks, and the live characters, like Mickey Mouse, will don brand-new costumes for this special occasion.
It gets so much better, though. The celebration, appropriately titled “The World’s Most Magical Celebration,” will actually be held for 18 months at all four parks. Fans can expect all-new experiences—a nighttime show called “Disney Enchantment” at Magic Kingdom, a performance at EPCOT’s Showcase Lagoon, kite fliers and performers over at Animal Kingdom and light shows called “Beacons of Magic” will play at all four parks every night.
