Snickers Just Announced a Brand-New Flavor—Here’s Your First Look

Snickers Butterscotch Scoop is the latest flavor from the iconic chocolate brand. Here's our review!

Snickers is looking pretty good for a 93-year-old. The classic has been around since 1930. It’s easy to see why it’s lasted—this candy bar has it all! There’s caramel, nougat and peanuts, all enrobed in milk chocolate.

Although the original Snickers is a pretty unbeatable combo, there have been some tempting Snickers variations. The Snickers nut butter flavors hit shelves in 2019. Then 2021 featured an almond brownie dark chocolate flavor. Apparently you can even make your own healthy Snickers… using Medjool dates!

But now there’s a new limited edition variety, and it sounds like a delicious ice cream flavor. Here’s the scoop on Snickers Butterscotch Scoop. P.S. While you’re at it, here’s how you can make your very own healthy Snickers.

What Is the New Snickers Flavor?

I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream! And Snickers Butterscotch Scoop takes its inspiration from the ice cream parlor. Think of a classic Snickers bar as far as the milk chocolate, peanuts and caramel goes, but with the regular nougat jazzed up with a butterscotch-flavored variety.

I’m not the world’s biggest butterscotch fan. It’s fine, but kind of in the grandma candy category for me. But I’ve got to say, I was surprised by how much I liked my sneak preview of Snickers Butterscotch Scoop. I may not be an enormous butterscotch fan, but this nougat had a mellow, sweet almost maple-y flavor to me.

The only disappointing element was that these Snickers Butterscotch Scoop bars seemed very light on Snickers’ famed caramel, which made it rather dry. If the Snickers assembly line just doubled up on the caramel, I might prefer these to standard Snickers.

Where to Buy the New Snickers Flavor

Unfortunately, you can’t scoop up the Snickers Butterscotch Scoop bars at just any store. It’s exclusive to Walmart, beginning in July. The treat will be available in single size and stand-up pouch with fun size bars. And they’ll only be available for a limited time, so grab them now, before this flavor melts away.
