The Best Black Friday Deals for Home Cooks

For shoppers who love deals, Black Friday is almost as anticipated as Thanksgiving. It’s become The Super Bowl of shopping, a consumer holiday the day after Thanksgiving when America gets down to the serious business of shopping and saving for the holidays to find gifts for everyone on their list.

But this year, Black Friday is a little different. Many retail stores are closed on Thanksgiving, and instead of offering one-day of in-person Black Friday deals—stores are moving many sales online and throughout the month of November. Yay!

There are fantastic deals to be had, especially when it comes to kitchen gear for the home cook. But, it’s a lot to keep track of! The Target Black Friday Lowdown:

• Guess what, it’s Black Friday MONTH at Target this year. The deals are valid until the weekend of Thanksgiving or until they’re sold out, and Target will keep adding (and subtracting) more deals every week.

Best Black Friday Walmart Deals

The Walmart Black Friday Lowdown

• Walmart is throwing three Black Friday events during the month of November.
• The first sale event took place both online and in stores, with the online sale beginning on November 4, and the in-store sale starting on November 7.
• The second sale followed the same structure, beginning online on November 11 at 7 p.m. EST and kicking off in-store on November 14 at 5 a.m. local time.
• The third sale will take place online on November 25, then finish up in-store on November 27 beginning at 5 a.m. local time.

Best Walmart Black Friday Deals Event Three (Valid November 25th through the 28th):

• The Pioneer Woman 25-piece Cookware Set Whether you love Ree Drummond (we do!) or just dig pretty cookware—Walmart is offering deals on Pioneer Woman kitchen items. You get it all for $69.99—way cheaper than buying individual pieces.

Best Black Friday Kohl’s Deals

The Kohl’s Black Friday Lowdown:

• Kohl’s extended Black Friday to an entire week this year.
• Kohl’s Black Friday sale starts November 22 both online and in stores. Online shopping starts at 12:01 a.m. CST; so get to your laptop  if you want the best steals. Doors open at 8 a.m. local time for in-person shopping.
• The event lasts the whole week, ending on November 27.  Keep in mind, Kohl’s stores will be closed on Thanksgiving day.
• If you know Kohl’s, you know they love giving additional discounts via coupon. Make sure you bring in your Kohl’s coupon that’s included in their Black Friday flier (it can also be used online). The coupon will give you an additional 15% off.
• Kohl’s is offering “Super Deals” only available Thursday and Friday during Black Friday week. On Thanksgiving day, you can get the Super Deals online starting at 12:01 a.m. CST. If you want to shop in-person for “Super Deals,” stores will open 5 a.m. local time on Black Friday.
• While you’re shopping Kohl’s Black Friday event, for every $50 you spend, you’ll receive $15 in Kohl’s cash (normally Kohl’s cash earnings are only $10). The cash is redeemable November 28 to December 9. Shop now, save even more later!

The Macy’s Black Friday Lowdown:

• Macy’s Black Friday starts on Monday, November 16th and lasts through Saturday, November 28th.
• Black Friday in-store hours run from 5 a.m. to midnight, local time.
• Check Macy’s.com on Black Friday for doorbuster deals and even more savings.

• Amazon isn’t announcing all of their deals as of publishing, so check back on the 20th for more deals.
