The Best Restaurants Where Kids Eat Free
Any day you take a break from cooking is a good day—but when kids eat free it's a great day. These restaurants have your back.
Romano’s Macaroni Grill
You can cure a serious case of the Mondays (or Tuesdays) at Romano’s Macaroni Grill. You can get one free kids’ meal (for kiddos 12 and under) with each purchase of an adult entree. The kids’ menu includes favorites like spaghetti and mac and cheese.
Head to Denny’s on Tuesday, when kids up to 10 years old can eat for free from 4-10pm. You can get up to two free kids meals per adult entree, which is perfect for a larger family. (Before you head to your local Denny’s, though, call to make sure they offer the deal.)
Uno’s Pizzeria & Grill
Uno’s Pizzeria & Grill is also a tasty free option on Tuesdays—for lunch or dinner. Kids 12 and under can get either a free kid’s meal or a gluten-free thin-crust pizza with the purchase of an adult meal all day.
If you cooked on Monday, you can always treat yourself on Tuesday at Bob Evans. Kids 12 and under eat free after 4 p.m. with the purchase of an adult meal. If you prefer a Tuesday night at home, get the down-on-the-farm feel with these biscuit recipes or even our favorite Bob Evans copycats!
OK, IKEA isn’t technically a restaurant, but we love those meatballs (even if they aren’t really Swedish)! On Tuesdays, kids 12 and under can get up to two free children’s entrees with the purchase of an adult entree costing $4 or more from 11 a.m. until restaurant closing. There’s even free baby food available.
You might want to TGI Fridays a little earlier in the week. On Tuesdays and Wednesdays, you can get a free kid’s meal with each purchase of an adult meal. For the rest on the week, check out these show-stopping burgers at home.
Steak ‘n Shake
If you want to wait till the weekend to treat yourself and the kids, Steak ‘n Shake offers one kid’s meal (12 and under) for every adult meal purchase of $9 or more if you dine in on Saturday. Or shake things up at home and make your own shakes.
OK, not completely free—but no adult purchase is needed and the offer is good every day. All Culver’s kid’s meals come with tokens for a free cone or dish of frozen custard. Choose the dish option and get a free topping—sweet! Or save up 10 “Scoopie tokens” and get a free kid’s meal anytime.
We compared the most popular fast food chains’ burgers. Can you guess where Culver’s placed?
Barbeque-loving kids (12 and under) are in heaven on Sundays at Dickey’s. You can get one kid’s meal with every adult $10 purchase when you dine in. For the rest of the week, you can wow them at home with delicious ribs.
Shoney’s flies its free flag all day, every day of the week. Kids 4 and under eat free with the purchase of an adult entree. If you’re still dreaming about their omelets the next day, try one of our best egg recipes at home.
IHOP won’t be ruled by the calendar either. Every day from 4 to 9 p.m. you can get one free kid’s meal for each adult entree purchased when you dine in.
