23 Stores That Won’t Let You in Without a Face Mask
Be prepared to keep your nose and mouth covered before shopping in these stores.
According to a statement issued by Costco, in order to protect guests and employees, everyone entering the premises must wear a face covering that covers their mouth and nose at all times. By the way, here’s how to disinfect your face mask.
Checking out this week’s Aldi finds is going to require a mask. A statement on Aldi’s website explains “The health and safety of our employees, customers and the communities we serve will always be our highest priority. With that focus in mind, effective July 27, face coverings will be required to enter ALDI stores.”
Picking up a prescription might look a little different. CVS said in a statement: “With the recent spike in COVID-19 infections, we’re joining others in taking the next step and requiring all customers to wear face coverings when entering any of our stores throughout the country effective Monday, July 20.”
Walmart and Sam’s Club
Both Walmart and Sam’s Club will require face coverings for customers starting July 20. A statement on the brand’s website explained Health Ambassadors will be stationed at each store’s entrance to “remind those without a mask of our new requirements.”
In addition to a long list of other safeguards, like crew member wellness checks and increased store cleanings, Trader Joe’s also requires customers to wear face coverings.
Safety is top of mind at Best Buy stores. And, according to a statement on their website, “customers and employees are required to wear a face covering.” If you don’t have a mask, your local store will provide you with one.
Picking up supplies for a home improvement project? Don’t forget your mask! Lowe’s recently adopted a “nationwide standard for all customers to wear masks or face coverings when shopping in U.S. stores effective July 20.”
A statement issued by Whole Foods says, “Effective July 20, Whole Foods Market requires all customers to wear face coverings while shopping in our stores to protect the health and safety of our Team Members and communities. Whole Foods Market provides face masks at the entrance of all stores for customers who do not have their own face covering.”
Just like other big grocery store brands, Publix is asking everyone to wear face coverings over their noses and mouths, beginning July 21. Read up on our do’s and don’ts for avoiding germs at the grocery store.
“For your safety and ours, every customer is required to wear a face mask while in the store,” Kohl’s explained on their website.
In an announcement from Home Depot, customers will be mandated to wear a face mask beginning July 22. They have incorporated “Social Distancing Captains” to their stores and will provide masks to shoppers who may not have one.
As Apple stores are beginning to reopen, face coverings will be required for all staff and customers to enter the space. Customers who don’t bring their own mask will be provided with one at the door along with a temperature screening.
AT&T announced on July 2 that masks would be required by all employees, customers and visitors to their stores.
Bed Bath and Beyond
Plan to pack your face mask next time you visit Bed Bath and Beyond. The beloved home store has made masks mandatory for all customers and associates.
T.J. Maxx requires and expects all associates and customers to wear a face covering in stores no matter the location to provide universal comfort to their community.
The Fresh Market
Since April 14, customers have been required to wear a mask before entering any of The Fresh Market stores.
Going on a Target run? Grab your mask first. “Starting August 1, we’re requiring guests to wear masks or face coverings in all of our stores, except for those with underlying medical conditions and young children,” Target’s website states. “This builds on the more than 80% of our stores that already require guests to wear face coverings due to local and state regulations.”
Unsurprisingly, Walgreens is another store that requires a face mask upon entry. By the way, these are the home items you should be cleaning every day.
According to the American Eagle website, the clothing store requires both customers and employees to wear facial coverings at all times when inside any location. Customers without a mask can purchase one.
Customers are required to wear a face mask inside all Verizon stores while also abiding by their other social distancing practices.
A statement issued by Shoprite says, “Where mandated by state-issued executive orders or local ordinances, stores will also require customers to wear masks or face coverings while they are shopping with us unless they are medically unable to do so.”
