Trader Joe’s Customer Choice Awards Results Are In!

Did your favorite goods win the gold in Trader Joe's Customer Choice Awards?
Trader Joe’s just released the results of their 14th annual Customer Choice Awards, and we have both returning victors and all-new tasty treats you have to try!
If you’ve ever spent way too much at Trader Joe’s, raise your hand. Even though they’re known for their low prices, it’s hard not to overspend when they have every decadent and savory guilty pleasure imaginable (especially in the Trader Joe’s frozen food aisle!). Over the years, Trader Joe’s has developed a pretty extensive fan base, which has inspired the Customer Choice Awards. Did your main munchies make the list?
Favorite Overall
Trader Joe’s Chili & Lime Flavored Rolled Corn Tortilla Chips have risen from one of the runner-up favorite snacks of 2022 to the overall favorite of 2023! And we must say, this meteoric rise to overall favorite is with good reason. Customers can’t get enough of that savory chili-lime flavor fusion, and neither can we. What’s even better is that they’re gluten-free. We’ll be adding it to our collection of gluten-free snacks to add to our lunchbox.
Favorite Entree
It may not have clenched victory last year, but the 2022 favorite entree runner-up finally holds the crown of the favorite entree title. Of course, we’re talking about Trader Joe’s Butter Chicken with Basmati Rice! Who can resist a curry recipe with tomatoes, rich cream, onions, garlic, ginger and butter paired with classic rice? We’re hungry just thinking about it.
Favorite Vegan/Vegetarian Item
Trader’s Joes’ Kale & Cashew Pesto is almost—dare we say it?—our favorite pesto out there. Not only is it vegan, but the kale, cashew and basil blend certainly enhances tons of recipes. We’re looking at you, Trader Joe’s Outside-In Stuffed Gnocchi! Some gnocchi may go well with Trader Joe’s canned eggplant.
Favorite Sweet/Dessert
OK, you know that Trader Joe’s Hold the Cone! Mini Ice Cream Cones must be good when it took the cake—no dessert pun intended—not once, not twice, but three years in a row! These adorable tiny cones definitely make our list of favorite mini desserts.
Favorite Snack
Believe it or not, Trader Joe’s Chili & Lime Flavored Rolled Corn Tortilla Chips have made the list not once but twice this year! If that doesn’t have you heading down to your local TJ’s to immediately pick up a bag, we don’t know what will. After all, can you imagine a better snack than this crisp, spicy treat that’s not only easy to munch on but absolutely mouthwatering?
Favorite Beverage
While tea might seem to be the beverage of choice across the pond, it turns out a good number of shoppers right here prefer the Trader Joe’s Sparkling Honeycrisp Apple Juice Beverage. They’ve got reason to—the refreshing, fizzy beverage makes the perfect sweet midday pick-me-up. Plus, tea is healthy for you!
Favorite Produce
We LOVE all things bananas at Taste of Home, and we’re proud to announce Bananas as the favorite Trader Joe’s produce. I mean, who can get enough of some of the potassium-filled, organic staple? Especially with so many clever banana uses!
Favorite Cheese
Trader Joe’s Cheddar with Caramelized Onions has us wanting to run to TJ’s just reading its name. The cheese was specially made for Trader Joe’s by “an established English countryside estate,” and we think it’d make a pretty classy–not to mention, tasty—addition to one of our yummiest cheddar cheese recipes.
Favorite in Household
The Favorite in Home, Bath & Beauty was claimed by none other than Trader Joe’s Scented Candles. With scents like Lemon Cookie, Honeycrisp Apple and Mango Tangerine, it’s really no surprise customers turned over the limelight to these cozy fresheners.
