Bacon Cheeseburger Tips

What’s the best type of ground beef to use in bacon cheeseburgers?

Choosing the right type of ground beef isn’t as cut and dry as you may think. Depending on your cooking method and desired level of doneness, you may want different ratios of fat to lean meat. Here in the Test Kitchen, we prefer an 80/20 blend for a medium-rare burger. For a medium-well burger, we go with a 70/30 blend instead. Learn more about which ground beef is best for your burger.
