Almond Snack Cake
My oldest son was allergic to chocolate, so I had to find goodies to make without it. These treats filled the bill. In fact, my son is 47 now, so I’ve been making this recipe for a long time! With its great almond flavor, this snack cake is popular at bake sales.

This is TOO good for my own good ha! YuM!
This was good. I sometimes find almond extract a little strong. Made this recipe as written, but I might try again and substitute vanilla extract for some or all of the almond.
This recipe results in some scrumptious! I made them according to the recipe with one exception, I added more almond extract. Next time I’ll reduce the sugar sprinkled on top. The crunchy sugar is good, but it added too much sweetness. I will make this again!
These are soo delicious and a huge hit! I took these to a family get together and not a piece was left! I followed the recommendations of cooking for about 35 minutes and they came out perfect. Very easy to make - I'll definitely be making these again!!
I will definitely make this again! But I will cut the sugar on top to 2 tablespoons.
Took this to an event & got 2 requests for the recipe. I also baked for 5 mins longer as suggested. Would make again.
These are delicious. I make them for church coffee hour and collations all the time. People always want the recipe.
This cake was very, very good and very easy to whip up . . . a dangerous combination!!!! I did have to bake it for about 35 minutes to test done, but once it was done, did not have any of the previously mentioned problems with the cake not being done. We will be making this again and again!
This recipe is delicious, and I would definitely make it again. It does sink a bit however, which is why I gave it four stars.
I will never make this cake again when I'm home alone. I loved it waaaay tooo much. My husband only got 4 out of the 10 pieces. It's a good thing I exercise a lot:)
