Apple Butter Biscuit Breakfast Bake
My grandmother created this recipe to use up the leftovers from Christmas Eve dinner. By combining leftover ham and biscuits with milk, eggs and her homemade apple butter, she served us all a warm, delicious breakfast and still was able to spend with her grandchildren. —Marty Leverette, Columbia, South Carolina

We used diced ham which I wouldn’t think would mess up the flavor. My husband nor I were fans of the apple butter addition. He wanted to try the recipe solely for that reason because he loves apple butter. We baked it probably 10 minutes past an hour and it still seemed a bit mushy- which maybe is unavoidable when you have that much egg and milk being added to it. We’re glad we can check it off of our to-make list, but we won’t be making it again.
Delicious! Family loved this on Christmas morning, even the leftovers were eaten. We will be making this again, and not only for special occasions. Thanks foe sharing!
Great tasting
Amazing! I didn't have leftover biscuits, so I just baked up a tube of flaky biscuits and used those. We loved the sweetness and spice of the apple butter with the ham and cheddar.
