Apple Pear Coffee Cake

A friend gave me this apple pear coffee cake recipe to make for a breakfast I was hosting. The pan was empty before the breakfast was over! It's one of my most-requested recipes, probably because it's a bit different. —Joanne Hoschette, Paxton, Massachusetts

Very good! I had to use gluten free flour for my family but overall flavor was there. I also sprinkled in some nutmeg.

Uh don't forget the sour cream or it will be dryer than you want. Fluff it in with the sugar, butter, eggs.

Excellent recipe! I needed to use up my pears from the holiday and this fit the bill. I used all pears, no apples. So delicious, so moist -- it's a keeper! My husband loves it and he's not big on sweets. You won't be disappointed. Happy 2020!

this was really good. I made a couple minor changes-used 1 cup pear and 1 cup apple and added some cinnamon and nutmeg to the cake. It turned out great-thanks for sharing the recipe

This coffee cake is wonderful. Very moist, great flavor. I did find it too sweet the first time I made it so I cut back on the topping quite a bit and it still tasted very good. Nice change from a traditional coffee cake. Thank you for sharing.

I made this recipe on Friday and it was gone by Sunday morning. My son and my husband loved this recipe. It was really moist and had lots of flavor. Plus it's easy to make. I loved the topping. Very light, not filling recipe. It's a keeper!
