Autumn Apple Chicken

This is our new favorite autumn recipe. I used honey crisp apples, red onions, and chicken breast tenderloins. Then served it with roasted sweet potatoes. It was delicious, and my husband asks me to make it regularly now.
I'm wondering why you have to brown chicken in skillet first if the recipe says to remove skin?
Can I use bone in chicken breast for this recipe?
Really easy, and really good. I used honey crisp apples, and Sweet Baby Ray’s spicy and sweet barbecue sauce. I will definitely make this again, hubby loved it
We liked it, but Inthink I will take the advise of adding the apples later so they would be less mushy.
Made as directed. It was edible, but not something I will be making again.
The chicken was really tender, and smelled delicious. I think I will thicken the sauce next time and serve it over the chicken. As long as you use crisp apples (Gala or Fuji), it shouldn't be a problem.
Chicken was very tender. I replaced the cider with chicken broth and doubled it. I also added the apples after two hours.
Way too sweet.
Recipe was very good, however the apples once cooked did not taste good at all. Any suggestions?
