I like these simple baseball cupcakes because they can be mixed up by hand. I have worked and reworked it and finally was successful in coming up with just the right measurements. —Jane Pearson, Dayton, Ohio

Baseball Cupcakes Tips

What else can you use to decorate baseball cupcakes?

If you're not a fan of licorice, feel free to pipe red icing to create the stitching instead. Otherwise, you could stand up red M&Ms on their edges for a little extra crunch (and chocolate!). You can also totally level up your game with a baseball cake.

What can you put in the cupcake batter to make it your own?

If you want to add a little color to the inside of your cupcakes, add in your favorite sprinkles. Red sprinkles would match the licorice stitching on top, but you could also pick colors that coordinate with your baseball team. Adding food coloring can also make cupcakes instantly festive.

How should you store baseball cupcakes?

Since these baseball cupcakes are made with a buttercream frosting, you can keep them covered at room temperature for 1-2 days. Learn more about how to store baked goods.
