Chicken & Waffles

My first experience with this dish sent my taste buds into orbit. I first made this chicken and waffles recipe into appetizers, but we all love them as a main course, too. —Lisa Renshaw, Kansas City, Missouri

You really can't expect much with the main ingredients being packaged. I was happy to have the night off from cooking by making this but it isn't something we will have again. All 4 kids basically said, "please don't make this again." My husband asked why expected something more from something so basic. He likes chicken and waffles but not this.

This is a new twist for me. To me Chicken & waffles means roasted chicken, mashed potatoes, homemade gravy & homemade (beat the egg whites till stiff) waffles.

Easy to put together, I used leftover take out chicken. The honey/hot pepper sauce is what really makes this dish- I used sriracha.

I made this dish for lunch today, except I made my own waffles and chicken. The sauce sets this dish apart. It's not breakfast. lol Something magical happens when you mix the hot sauce and honey together. Yum.
