Chocolate Buttermilk Brownies
I've made these frosted brownies for so many years, I don't need a recipe card to follow. When our three grandchildren visit the farm, they're delighted when I serve these-plain or with ice cream.

Have made these brownies since I was a little girl ... and that's a long time. They are excellent. I did only use 2.75 cups of confectioners sugar on the icing and could just pour it over the brownie. And added walnuts, too! So so good!
Absolutely delicious!
Very little flavor in the brownie and the icing it so rich you can barely eat it. Followed recipe exactly, made no changes to it. Waste of time and ingredients. Won't be making it again.
These brownies are wonderful! My four year old says that these are "yummy in my tummy!" They have a great chocolate flavor and a cake-like texture. I do think that you could get by with only 3 cups of powdered sugar in the frosting, and be sure to spread it fast! I will definitely make these again.
This is my new favorite brownie recipe. I made these for a restaurant home owner and his wife who is a baker. He said everyone agreed they were the best brownies they ever ate! I am making more right now!
I am a volunteer TOH field editor and have made these many times!! Definitely more of a cake type of brownie than a dense brownie. But is still very moist and very tasty!!!!

These are wonderful.One of my favorite brownie recipes.When I'm in the mood for a cakey type.
Very easy to make, and quick to bake and frost.
Good recipe...with the following caveats. Works fine in a 13x9 pan, and definitely is a CAKE. Used regular milk in the frosting, and that worked fine. Just don't make these expecting brownies. Expect a yummy chocolate cake.~ Theresa
