Christmas Fruit Salad
It was at the very first Thanksgiving I spent with my husband's family that I tasted this for the first time. My mother-in-law shared the recipe. I serve it for special occasions, plus it's a main-stay at the potlucks we have at work. After 41 years of marriage, my husband and I still enjoy the salad - along with our four children and their spouses and our nine grandchildren.

Great Christmas fruit salad! This was my first time making it and it went well, very easy if you have all the ingredients ready to go before you start. I added some pomegranate seeds for more color and crunchiness.
I have been making this for years. I add pecans to half of the salad and none to the other half. I also on occasion use half whipping cream and half dream whip to make it sweeter. Make it every year for Thanksgiving, and sometimes again on Christmas.
I made this, this morning and you do have to be a experienced cook to make the custard and cool things properly. It is a fantastic salad....perfect in fact. Wonderful flavor with cider......
This yummy fruit salad is perfect for the holidays!!

Do not bother making this the recipe is wrong calls for white vinegar which I think it should be lemon juice and it doesn't thicken up what a waste of my money
Okay - not worth the time it takes to make
This turned out to be delicious and received raves, but I had to add about 1/2 c. sugar to it after mixing it all together. The recipe calls for white vinegar, and all I had was cider vinegar, so I used that. Maybe that was why it just wasn't sweet enough. But no problem.....the added sugar cut the vinegar that was over-powering everything and made it taste good Everyone loved it.
I first made this recipe for my mother and dads 50th anniversary. Big hit! Been making it for parties ever since.
Very good, and I added green, red, yellow, jello!
