Ingredients

  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 8 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 cups ketchup
  • 1 cup cider vinegar
  • 1 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup reduced-sodium soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup strong brewed coffee
  • 2 teaspoons instant coffee granules
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

Directions

  1. In a large saucepan, saute onion in oil until tender. Add garlic; cook 2 minutes longer. Stir in the remaining ingredients and bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, for 35-45 minutes or until desired consistency, stirring occasionally.
