Company Fruit Salad
We first tried a cream cheese fruit salad like this at a local deli. Since I couldn't get that recipe, I started mixing up different dressings until I hit on this one. Now I make this refreshing delightful salad for every picnic and get-to-gether. It can be a snack, side dish or dessert. —Connie Osterhout, Napoleon, Ohio

I made it for a July 4th Party. Lots of compliments! No one could believe there was mayo in it so it's not a concern. I wondered if the apples would brown. They didn't. I'm eating leftovers two days later and the apples are still white and crisp.

the fruit combination is wonderful...but not the mayo dressing. I add miniature marshmallows and toss it all with peach yogurt. Delicious!

I make a different version: apples, smokehouse almonds, cheddar cheese chunks, & marshmallows. Dressing is Miracle Whip and brown sugar. You'd be amazed at how yummy this is
My Grandmother and Mother made this, especially on holidays. They added bananas also. I've made it several times. We use salad dressing instead of mayo. It was delicious. A big hit with my family.
I have not made this yet but it reminds me of the fruit salads my aunts made for Christmas get-to gathers in the early 1950's. They would put in shredded coconut and sometimes marshmallows. This takes me back to my childhood and I will be making soon.
I couldn't stomach this at all. The mayo was a total mistake, my family didn't like it either. I remade it but just tossed everything with vanilla greek yogurt.
