Cranberry-Apple French Toast

I made this for breakfast this morning and it was WONDERFUL!! I used a 12 ounce loaf of Italian bread instead of Challah and Gala apples (because that's what I had on hand). Also, when I removed the foil for the second baking, I dabbed the pieces of bread with butter. And, just for presentation, I'll garnish with confectioner's sugar before serving the next time I make it. This is very easy to make and since it's prepared and sits in the fridge overnight, there's not much cleanup after you serve it. I give this 5 stars for sure!!!
This was absolutely delicious. The three apples pretty much filled my 9 x 13 pan before I added the bread, so I moved some into an 8 x 8 pan. Wonderful breakfast!
