I love the cream cheese dip with strawberries. Never made it myself, so I was looking for an easy recipe. The best part was 3 items, which I usually have. Now I gotta admit, brown sugar? What the heck, I'll make it anyways. It is a little browner and thicker than the usual cc dip. AND It is awesome! My advice is if it been refrigerated, let it set to room temperature before digging in (will be creamier). It is heavenly.

I almost always make this dip to serve with fruit when we have a group over to our house. People always ask for the recipe. It is very easy to make, and it tastes excellent with apples, pears, and berries.

I used this recipe as a base when I (thought) I had no ingredients for a fruit dip on hand. I had about a 1/4 pkg. of cream cheese, plus about 3/4 c. of sour cream. I adjusted the brown sugar to taste, and added some leftover pineapple juice and at the last minute some freshly grated lemon peel. It was a wonderful impromptu recipe.

This is delicious with apples! I usually let it sit for an hour or more before serving. Fun for kids of all ages, everyone loves dipping their fruit!
