Crisp Peanut Butter Cookies
Total TimePrep: 15 min. + chilling Bake: 10 min.
Makesabout 4 dozen
These had just the right amount of peanut butter and butter flavor. So good and crispy, just like I like. I used a cookie scoop and it made almost 3 dozen. I like mine kind of small.
One batch made 22 cookies for me! They are crispy and chewy; just the way I like them! ???? I used what I had on hand, so I had to make some modifications. ?? I used vegan butter, added an additional teaspoon of vanilla for flavor, added 1 tablespoon of molasses, since I didn't have brown sugar and used crunchy peanut butter. I forgot to add thr sugar when flattening them, but they taste amazing just the way they are! Mine took about 27 minutes to bake. But that may have happened because I had put 2 pans in the oven side by side.
Excellent cookies...nice and crispy. In future, I will double the recipe as they disappear quickly.
I doubled the recipe, rolled them a little larger for a 3 inch finished cookie and baked them 13 minutes. They are delicious!
Excellent, I cut the sugar down by 2 ounces and added a tablespoon of crunchy peanut butter. Soooooo good. Highly recommend.
Excellent cookie recipe, although you must double the recipe, I also added extra Peanut Butter! So good ,I hate soft uncooked cookies ,these are perfect ??
I have a few PB cookie recipes I've collected over the years, but they're just ok. This one I really like and it's now my new favorite! I doubled recipe, tweaked it a bit by using 1/4 cup more of PB and double the vanilla. In addition I also added almost a cup of dark chocolate chips stirred in last - I used Natural Jif creamy. A meat tenderizer dipped in sugar worked perfectly for the markings. Crunchy, a bit chewy; just the way I like them. Baked on regular bake (not convection bake) at 375 for 10 minutes. This made 65 cookies. Minor complaint is PB flavor was a bit weak, but they'll be gone before you can say "yum...
My DH loves Peanut Butter Cookies, but only if they are crispy, not soft. This recipe fit the bill perfect. I only got a couple dozen out of the batch, but I made them a tad bigger, we like a good size cookie. They were crisp and rose up so nice. I used my meat tenderizer to make the design on top and it looked really nice. This is my new favourite PBC recipe!
As a volunteer feild editor with Taste of Home magazine I love classic cookie recipes! Simple ingredients and great crisp cookie! My teenage son prepared, quick to prepare. He skipped chilling because in a rush, with no difficulties. For us, removed from oven before minimum time. He loved them!
Delicious! Love this recipe!
