This is not only my family's favorite meat loaf when I serve it hot for supper—it's also the highlight of our midday lunch when I slice cold leftovers for sandwiches.—Ruth Fisher, Kingston, Ontario
In a large bowl, combine first nine ingredients and mix well. Press into a 9x5-in. loaf pan. Bake at 350° for 1 hour. Remove from oven; drain. Spoon chili sauce over loaf. Return to oven and bake until no pink remains, about 20 minutes longer.

Trying on that rack inside of a glass pan; it may just save some grese saturation on the bottom, :).
PS: What brand and style of chili sauce? Can make a huge difference in final tasting.

Very very yummy! The chili sauce on top was perfect. I cut the recipe in half for just my husband and I. I put it in for about 55 minutes, then the full 20 minutes. I also placed it on a rack inside a pan, not in a loaf pan. Very yummy, I'm looking forward to the leftovers!

Made this tonight for dinner. Very nice. Interesting flavour but tasty. My family enjoyed this. Recipe was just about right - no changes although had to cook slightly longer. Used wholegrain mustard. Would definitely make this again. Thanks for a great recipe.

Delicious. Instead of the chili sauce - I mixed up a sauce made from ketchup, mustard and brown sugar to put on top. Mine took 1 ½ hours to bake.

This is the best meatloaf I have ever made. Even my son, who is not a meatloaf fan, went back for seconds. Reduced the bread crumbs to 3/4 cup, added 1/4 cup chopped green pepper and instead of chili sauce, I used 1/2 cup ketchup with brown sugar, garlic powder and a little dried chopped onion. It was sweet and delicious. Will make plenty more in the future. May even show off for the in-laws...
