Easy Chopped Steak
My husband and I think this is one of the best hamburger steak recipes we have ever tried. It's reminiscent of the time when you could get a good hamburger steak only at a diner. To enhance the flavor, I like to mix this up early in the day.—Bette Persinger, Pasadena, Texas

Super easy, very goo. I needed a little more salt, and I sprinkled some smoked paprika over the finished steaks.
Loved it and the hubby's still talking about it! Made this recipe with a mushroom gravy and it was simply perfection. The only thing I changed was I poured a splash of cabernet on the meat while it was browning (because I was filling my glass at the time). I will.definitely be adding this to my repeat recipe list! FYI - Don't forget to press a dent into the middle of the patty with your thumb to prevent it from shrinking.
These were just ok and sort of bland. I should have made a gravy to go with it. Very dry. Mine were a little charred on the outside, too. I'll make this again, but with a few tweaks.
I just don't do well with pan frying! I think my patties were too thick, and they ended up pretty charred on the outside by the time they were done. I will try these one more time. I don't have a broiler pan just yet, so I might try baking them, like a meatloaf.
Love this recipe. So easy to put together. Glad someone suggested onion gravy for this. I thought it may be too much onion since chopped onion is in this but it was perfect together. Have made several times. Husband enjoys and I like that I have these ingredients on hand.
Made this last night for the family. I am usually a fan of chopped steak but daddy is not! But to my surprise he loved it! He is still raving about it today lol. I made a brown, onion gravy to go over it. Yumm!
Easy to make. Husband really enjoyed it.
This recipe is GREAT! Tastes excellent & I'll definitely be making it for my family again!
