- 1-1/4 pounds fish fillets
- 1 teaspoon seasoned salt
- Pepper to taste

- 3 tablespoons butter, melted
- Place fish in a greased 11x7-in. baking dish. Sprinkle with seasoned salt, pepper and paprika if desired. Drizzle with butter.

re: John's question of July 21, 2020. NOT 440 degrees!! 400 Fahrenheit degrees is approximately 205 Celsius degrees (204.44). Big temperature difference when baking fish. (Also, I never cover fish when baking.)

Addressing John's question of July 21, 2020, the temperature is most likely 440 degrees F, which works out to about 225 C. If it were the other way around -- 440 C instead of F -- it would be about 825 F, which is hotter than almost any oven-based recipe. Good question, though, especially if you don't do much baking.

Pretty good, except for one important factor. The temperature of 440 does not state whether itS F or C. I am not an american, nor have I ever baked anything before, so I am confused as to the temperature designation

I don't routinely cook with fish or any seafood since I am not a huge fan. However, my husband is a hunter so he eats just about anything and we are both looking to eat better. I do like some fish and I have cooked Shrimp for him in the past just using a butter and garlic sauce, so when I saw this recipe I figured even I could do this! So I followed the recipe with the paprika but added a garlic blend seasoning and onion powder to the melted butter since we are both huge garlic fans. We loved it. The haddock filets I had weren't very thick so I cooked them at 350° for about 25 mins because I didn't want them to get tough. Will most certainly use this again.

Fast as promised, and nice flavor. Next time, I may cut back on the salt and add a little garlic and lemon zest.

I cooked this for my husband tonight, using catfish. It was a very tasty alternative to fried.

I had fish to use up which had been in my freezer: used codfish and flounder fillets. I used 1/4 tsp. each paprika and pepper. I DID add 2 Tbsp. grated Parmesan cheese! I didn't cover the fish-I just baked it as is and it worked out well-really tasty! delowenstein
