Orange Juice Cake Tips

What can you use instead of orange marmalade in the frosting for orange juice cake?

If you don’t have (or can’t find) orange marmalade for the orange juice cake's frosting, you can use 1 to 2 teaspoons of grated orange peel instead. The orange flavor will be just as punchy, and you can even grate some extra peel for a pretty presentation. After you zest the orange, save the rest of it to use in our best orange recipes.

Can you use white cake mix instead of yellow when making orange juice cake?

Yes! The only difference that using a white cake mix instead of a yellow cake mix makes is the color. White cake mix will make the cake itself will appear less orange.

What’s the best way to grease a cake pan?

Using a cooking spray with flour, like Baker’s Joy, is a a reliable way to grease your baking pan for this orange juice cake. You can also line the pan with parchment to be extra sure your cake doesn’t stick to the bottom. If you liked this orange juice cake, try more of our orange desserts.
