A tantalizing combination of strawberries and orange juice, this smoothie gets its shake-like texture from low-fat buttermilk. “The recipe also works well with other fresh berries,“ says Helene Rock of Los Altos, California.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1/4 cup orange juice
  • 1-1/2 cups sliced fresh strawberries
  • 2 tablespoons sugar

Directions

  1. Place all ingredients in a blender; cover and process for 1-2 minutes or until smooth. Pour into chilled glasses; serve immediately.
