Grandma’s Chunky Peanut Butter

I think this creamy peanut butter with just a hint of orange flavor is truly yuletide-special. I tie small jars with colorful ribbons to make great stocking stuffers or last-minute gifts.

Ingredients

  • 1-3/4 cups peanuts
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt, optional
  • 1/4 teaspoon grated orange zest, optional

Directions

  • Chop 1/4 cup peanuts and set aside. Place remaining peanuts in a blender. Cover and process for 5 minutes or until smooth and spreadable, occasionally scraping sides of bowl. Stir in the chopped peanuts. Add salt and orange zest if desired. Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour. May be refrigerated for up to 1 month.
