Ingredients

  • 2 pounds lean ground beef
  • 1/2 cup quick-cooking or old-fashioned oats
  • 1/4 cup whole milk
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 3 teaspoons finely diced green pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • Dash pepper
  • 8 hamburger buns
  • Lettuce leaves, optional
  • Sliced tomato, optional

Directions

  1. Combine first nine ingredients in a large bowl and mix well. Shape into eight patties. Grill until burgers reach desired doneness. Serve on buns with lettuce and tomato if desired.
