Ground Beef Gyros

If your family likes gyros as much as mine, they'll love this easy version that's made with ground beef instead of lamb. I found the recipe in a newspaper and adapted it to fit our tastes. They're very much like the ones served at a local restaurant. A cucumber yogurt sauce adds an authentic finishing touch. —Ruth Stahl, Shepherd, Montana

I was pleasantly surprised how flavorful this was for so few ingredients going in to season the beef mixture. This was AMAZING! I used sour cream instead of yogurt for the sauce as that's all I had on hand. I will definitely make again.

This was very good. Used the broil method but had to cut down on time, still a bit overcooked. Still yummy though! I used a tzatziki recipe from food network using whole milk Greek yogurt.

It was delicious - and so easy to prepare. I might add a little dill to the sauce next time. Thank you!

I love this quick and easy recipe. I use ground turkey because that is my preference. And I use a different tzatziki recipe from one of my favorite cookbooks. But served with pita, onions, tomato, and feta? YUM. Even better with some homemade falafel on the side.

My family loved the yogurt cucumber sauce. They started dipping their baby carrots and veggies! But they just thought the sandwiches were ok - they like hamburgers better :). So I will make the sauce again, but probably not the rest of the sandwiches.

These were good! I added lemon juice and sour cream to the sauce. I will make these again and next time try grilling them.

Most excellent! As good as those in the grease trucks without the lamb.
