Healthy Garlic Green Beans

"Because this recipe is easy to prepare, healthy and delicious, it has become the only way I make green beans," says Clara Saxe of Colorado Springs, Colorado. The versatile beans feature plenty of garlic and Italian seasoning and complement most any entree.

  • 1-1/2 pounds fresh green beans
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper


  • In a 15x10x1-in. baking pan, toss green beans, oil, garlic and Italian seasoning until beans are well coated. Bake, uncovered, at 450° for 12-15 minutes or until beans are crisp-tender and lightly browned, stirring occasionally. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.

    This is a wonderful recipe! The best green beans I've ever had. I made it for a dinner party last week, getting rave reviews. And am making it again for a potluck supper tonight. Hands down the best! And easy too.

    Really yummy. I baked it at 375 degrees as I had something else in the oven at that temperature - took about 20 minutes.

    Excellent!! I cooked em' 27 minutes. I also used half Italian seasoning and half poultry seasoning. Worked great! Also used additional salt--just personal taste.

    Simple & very good! Will certainly make them again. I used Poultry Seasoning in place of Italian Seasoning. It had a great flavor!

    I loved the Green Beans I also added 1 med. sauted, cut up Vadilia Onion. I also cookedmine for 25 min.
