Iced Coffee Latte

This is a great alternative to regular hot coffee and is much more economical than store-bought coffee drinks. Sweetened condensed milk and a hint of chocolate lend a special touch. —Heather Nandell, Johnston, Iowa

  • 1/2 cup instant coffee granules
  • 1/2 cup boiling water
  • 4 cups chocolate milk
  • 2 cups cold water
  • 1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
  • Ice cubes


  • In a large bowl, dissolve coffee in boiling water. Stir in the chocolate milk, cold water and condensed milk. Serve over ice.

1 cup: 270 calories, 9g fat (5g saturated fat), 32mg cholesterol, 139mg sodium, 41g carbohydrate (39g sugars, 1g fiber), 8g protein.

    I omit the water and use lactose-free milk, leftover brewed coffee (Starbucks, of course), a few generous squirts of Hershey's chocolate syrup, and ice cubes. I don't measure any of the ingredients and just eyeball the amounts. Stir well, add a straw, and YUM! It tastes just like what I get at Starbucks without the high price.

    I made my cold brew coffee this afternoon and just used 2 oz off the extract with a cupof chocolate milk.....and only 2 tbs of condensed milk...awsome!

    I loved this drink. I made my own chocolate milk with nonfat milk and that worked very well because I could put as little or as much chocolate as I wanted in it!

    I called this drink chocolate milk on steroids. For me personally, way too much chocolate flavor. Almost to the point where it overpowered the coffee flavor.

    Haven't made the recipe yet, but it sounds good. I am diabetic and 41 g of carbs equals almost 3 carbs. I am allowed 4 carbs for lunch and dinner so 3 carbs is a lot for diabetics who count carbs. However I am going to try this and perhaps serve myself just half, if i can.
