Layered Brownies

"I have always enjoyed cooking and baking," relates Sharon Miller from Elkhart, Indiana. "Now I have grandchildren that like to help me in the kitchen. These chocolaty bars are one of our favorites."

I wasn't very impressed with this recipe. I found it time consuming to get the crumb mixture spread across the bottom of the pan. After baking they didn't remind me very much of a brownie. Don't get me wrong, the family still ate them up. There are just so many fantastic TOH brownie recipes available that, in my opinion, are much easier and tastier than this one.

I've been making this recipe for years. It is so good. We never get tired of these brownies.

These were very easy to make and very good. Don't rely on a toothpick test to tell if they are done though as the center is very gooey and will set as they cool.
