Ingredients

  • 3 quarts water
  • 1 cup thinly sliced fresh basil leaves
  • 1/4 cup grated lemon zest
  • 1/4 cup English breakfast or other black tea leaves

Directions

  1. In a large saucepan, bring water to a boil. Remove from the heat. Add basil, lemon zest and tea leaves; cover and steep for 4 minutes. Strain, discarding basil, zest and tea leaves. Serve immediately.
