Mulled Wine Jelly Candies
I don’t drink alcohol, so after I’ve had company over for dinner, I have to do something with the leftover wine. These unusual jelly candies make a nice hostess gift during the holidays. I make the mulled red wine version for the winter holidays, and a white wine variation in spring and summer.—Jennifer Mack, Pensacola, Florida

Bekkie, I’m trying this recipe today. Not sure that it matters much since you’re slicing the wine. I’m actually using up a bottle of a spiced cherry wine and will amp up the spices a bit more with this recipe. I think you can try Pinot noir, merlot, or Cabernet Sauvignon. I would just buy the cheaper wines in those categories including box wine (which are still pretty good drinking wines). Good luck! I’m looking forward to wine gummies.
I would like to try this recipe but know nothing about wine. Can someone recommend a good wine to try in this recipe? TIA Bekkie
Made these to use up some wine I didn't much like. Took them to a friend's house Christmas eve. Everyone e loved them! Great recipe.
