Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Peanut Butter Bars
Total TimePrep: 15 min. Bake: 20 min. + cooling
These are bars are delicious!! I made them the first time without the drizzle and they were good. The second time was with the drizzle & they were delicious!! They went over great at a family get together.
I'm reading the reviews and thinking about making them in a 9x9" pan so they don't dry out as much. Has anyone else tried this?
These bars are wonderful. I saw several ratings that they are dry and crumbly. The key to this recipe is to under bake them. Since baked goods tend to continue to bake after removing from the oven, I take mine out when the bars are not quite done. They continue to bake, but stay moist.
Dry, crumbly and bleh. Very disappointed. :(
It was so dry and crumbly. I forgot to read the review, thus I was not able to make the necessary changes.
My family loved these bars, and they disappeared quickly. I thought they had great flavor with the chocolate and peanut butter. They are easy to make. I might adjust the baking time next time I make these. I thought they were a tad dry.

I’ve made these a few times and they always come out perfectly and get lots of compliments. The only thing I do differently is bake a couple of minutes left. They’ve never turned out dry or crumbly, always chewy, soft, and very flavorful. Perfect easy dessert to take somewhere. Definitely in my “keep” file!
These are the worst bars I’ve ever made. Came out dry, flavorless and I ended up just throwing them away. They should bake for half the time, and even though I stirred in the chocolate chips instead of putting them on top, they weren’t tasty at all. I’m not sure what kind of bars or desserts the five star reviewers are used to but these were utter crap. Won’t be trusting recipes with five stars on this site.
These were plenty moist on the crumbly side. They were just so-so and the icing was nothing special.
