Our home economists mixed up this heartwarming delight. Graham crackers and cinnamon make a golden topping over warm pears that are combined with orange juice for the fun twist on a classic dessert.


  • 4 medium ripe pears, peeled and sliced
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • Sugar substitute equivalent to 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup orange juice
  • 2 teaspoons grated orange zest
  • 3 whole reduced-fat graham crackers, crushed
  • Sugar substitute equivalent to 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 3 tablespoons reduced-fat butter, melted


  1. In a large bowl, combine the pears, flour, sugar substitute, orange juice and orange zest. Spoon into an 8-in. square dish coated with cooking spray.
  2. In a small bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, sugar substitute, flour and cinnamon; stir in butter. Sprinkle over pear mixture. Bake at 350° for 20-25 minutes or until topping is crisp and lightly browned. Serve warm.
