Overnight Baked Oatmeal
My husband and I spent a long weekend at a bed-and-breakfast not far from our home. The owners shared this delicious recipe with me, which I've made my own after a couple of simple changes. —Jennifer Cramer, Lebanon, Pennsylvania

This sounds really good. I am wondering how it is served? Do you put a piece in a bowl with some milk or cream?
I made this recipe for brunch for my family while we are at home due to vivid 19. We all love oatmeal and it was great prepared exactly as written so easy and turned out perfectly even my ten year old niece who doesn't like oatmeal ate it. I would definitely make it again try different fruit. I served with bacon and fresh fruit. A keeper for sure thank you
I have been making a similar dish to this one for a long time, but because I am hypoglycemic I cannot use the sugar. I put my chosen substitute in when it’s in my bowl. I also don’t use the salt or the oil, the salt is to taste but the oil is really unnecessary.
I cut the recipe in half and used almond milk instead of milk. Delicious! Thank you, Jennifer, for sharing this recipe.
A little on the sweet side (my dried fruit was also sweetened) but FABULOUS! Cut salt back to 1/2 a tsp for my taste also. My husband loved it and it is good warm or cold.
I actually had the wrong recipe out for baked oatmeal, but decided to try this recipe. The smell of it baking was wonderful and filled the house with the warm smell of cinnamon. The taste was fantastic. I served it to my grandson first and he did not want to share with his parents. Good thing that it makes enough for all.
Our son and his wife are entertaining a house full of family just before the holidays and, since I love to cook and live just down the street, I've been planning to make several meals, so they won't have to spend time in the kitchen. I never considered breakfast, but can't wait to do take this over and put a couple dishes of it in the fridge, so they can pop it in the oven Saturday morning and relax. I think all they'll need is coffee for the adults and hot chocolate for the kids to top it off!! Sounds perfect!!!
Sounds DIVINE!! But SUZANNE... Really? Healthy? Not by any means! If you want healthy, eat the oatmeal plain
I've made this recipe several times for my family and guests. It is a breakfast treat and is a hit with everyone. Sometimes I use different dried fruits just to mix it up. (Chopped apricots are great alternative.) I toss English walnuts on top once in a while, too. It doesn't matter. Make is suit your tastes or cravings. It is always delicious and satisfying!
Cannot wait try this! I love oatmeal and am lazy about cooking in the morning, I live by myself, that being said this recipe fits the bill!!! Now I can enjoy my morning coffee and have a healthy breakfast baking! I love this oatmeal recipe! Thank You so very much! SuZaNne
