Peanut Butter Treats

You can't miss with these no-fuss cookies. People are surprised to see the short list of ingredients. These cookies are fragile, so store them carefully when completely cooled.

  • 2 cups peanut butter
  • 1-1/4 cups sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 54 milk chocolate stars or chocolate kisses


  • In a large bowl, cream peanut butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition (dough will be sticky). With floured hands, roll tablespoonfuls into 1-1/4-in. balls. Place 2 in. apart on ungreased baking sheets.
  • Bake at 350° for 14-16 minutes or until tops are cracked. Remove to wire racks. Immediately press a chocolate kiss in the center of each. Cool.

    This is a great simple recipe with big visual impact appeal! Using chocolate kisses makes these not only taste great but compliments any cookie tray. Although this recipe is simular to other three ingredient peanut butter cookie recipes the reduction in the amount of sugar is nice because of the sweet addition of a chocolate kiss. It is important to note that until these cookies are completely cooled they are fragile.

    This recipe is great, but I'm wondering if the "nutritional facts" are correct. (?) There are 1 1/4 cups of sugar in this recipe; so how can there only be 1 gram of carbs? My husband's diabetic so correct information is important.

    Unbelievably good for the few ingredients that are in these cookies. No flour, so gluten free! I tried making these for the first time yesterday with three of my grandchildren ages 3, 5, and 8. The short list of ingredients made it a great recipe for the kids to help with. My husband could not believe there was no flour or leavening in this recipe.The only thing I changed, after baking 2 cookie sheets full of these, was to put the chocolate kiss on the cookies right out of the oven, then let them cool on the cookie sheet for about 5 minutes before transferring them to cooling racks. They really are very fragile, and it made more sense to do it this way.I will make these again! I think it would also work to leave off the chocolate kisses and just press the dough balls flat with a fork as is usual for peanut butter cookies.

    I've made cookies similar to these -- on the Kraft PB jar -- PB, sugar and an egg.  No flour.  They were good. Aleida

    is there any flour and other dry ingredients in this recipe? Doesn't make sense without it.
