Quick Banana Splits are a simple but special way to serve ice cream. The recipe comes from Doreen Stein of Ignace, Ontario.


  • 2 medium bananas
  • 1 pint vanilla ice cream
  • Chocolate syrup or ice cream topping
  • Chopped nuts
  • Maraschino cherries


  1. Slice bananas into four dessert dishes. Top each with 1/2 cup of ice cream. Drizzle with chocolate syrup. Sprinkle with nuts; top with cherries.
