Quick Beef Vegetable Soup

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1 can (15 ounces) tomato sauce
  • 1-1/2 cups frozen mixed vegetables, thawed
  • 1-1/4 cups frozen corn, thawed
  • 1-1/4 cups beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon molasses

Directions

  • In a large skillet, cook beef and onion over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain. Stir in the remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 10 minutes or until hot and bubbly.

    MaryKrauspe, I have not made this recipe so I cannot rate it, but I looked this recipe up on a computer and all the ingredients are listed. It may not be mobile-friendly for some reason. Ingredients were missing on my phone, too. Here is the missing ingredients! 1-1/4 cups beef broth 1 tablespoon soy sauce 1 tablespoon molasses I hope you see this!

    marykrauspe, do not rate a recipe with one star just because you are having issues! That is not right nor fair. Sometimes their darn ads cover, so let them know this. This is an excellent recipe!

    I would probably like to make this but all the ingredients aren't there. This keeps happening to me. I have contacted TOH about the problem but have had no response.

    I love how fast and easy this soup is to put together. The molasses and soy sauce add a great flavor that gives a tasty and interesting difference from basic beef veggie soup tomato broth. I often make a few changes by adding other veggies that are in my refrigerator such as zucchini, celery, parsnips, potatoes, fresh spinach or kale. This soup freezes well, so I put into individual serving containers for an easy thing to pack for lunch at work.

    Delicious! I added a little extra hot water rinsed in the tomato sauce can to make it soupier. I also added a bit of brown sugaras I had no molasses. And, I had some leftover vegetables from a beef stew in the fridge. You guessed it--they stretched this soup so we'll have more tomorrow.

    Really good! I changed up a bit. Didn't use molasses , used brown sugar and tablespoon of ketchup

    I love a thick, chunky soup, and this fits the bill! Add a salad, warm rolls, and laugh at the cold outside!
