Quick Tomato Soup

Made this for supper, and loved it! Cooks up as quickly as canned soup, ha. I really liked the onion powder and curry, and thought the amount of sugar was just right. The texture was very smooth, just a really good and super-easy recipe.
I've made this soup for years, but without the sugar. Want to step it up a notch? Use V-8 instead of tomato juice (not the low sodium though) I also like to serve it with Goldfish crackers. The only tomato soup my kids would eat.
Gross...way too sweet.
To finish my review 3rd try ................... and now I have another use for all the tomato juice I canned. Thank you Jane.
Did not like this recipe at all!! Too much curry for us—had to throw it out. Won’t be making again!!
Why so much sugar? I'll make it without the sugar.
i love this recipe. I make it often.
5 stars for taste. I used Spicy V-8 as that is what I had in the cupboard, omitted sugar entirely & used my own curry powder mix. I loved it. I don't know why I haven't been using V-8 juice all this time to make tomato soup! It went together in less than 10 minutes & so good on a cold day. Next time, I will get reduced sodium V-8.
Made a batch and about threw up. If I wanted TOMATO CANDY, I would have looked up tomato candy recipes. I looked up TOMATO SOUP recipes. I have made good tomato soup and this was not it! I even reduced the sugar. You DO NOT use sugar for tomato soup. You use baking soda to reduce the acidity and good quality tomatoes for the natural sweet flavor. So, I tried again. NO sugar this time. I won't make it again. Blech! Wish I could give zero stars.
Love this soup the curry makes it pop, just give it a diffrent taste. I add a whole fresh onion, chicken broth, garlic pepper, lawry's season salt and parsley. A little more butter and sugar for taste.....ohhhhh la la.
