Rainbow Fruit Bowl

I've discovered that mint gives melon a delicious zip. When mint is mixed with fruit juices and then served over melon, a pleasant blend is created that's both sweet and refreshing. —Dorothy Pritchett, Wills Point, Texas

  • 2 cups watermelon balls
  • 2 cups honeydew balls
  • 2 cups cantaloupe balls
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 1/4 cup lime juice
  • 2 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon snipped fresh mint
  • 1 tablespoon grated orange zest
  • 1 cup lemon-lime soda


  • Combine melon balls in a glass bowl. In a small bowl, whisk together juices, sugar, mint and orange zest; pour over melon and toss gently.
  • Cover and refrigerate for 2 hours. Just before serving, add soda and toss gently.
