Strawberry Cooler

During the dog days of summer, my family looks for a cold, thirst-quenching drink. I like this ons because it's sparkling, refreshing and fast and easy to make.

With summer on the way (yes, I'm being optimistic!) this is a wonderful and refreshing drink to have on hand. I followed the recipe the first time. The next time, in place of the lemon juice, I added some lemonade concentrate to taste. What a wonderful change. You might want to reduce the sugar a little if you add concentrate.

This is very refreshing and has a delicious flavour. Had to use 1c sugar b/c the strawberries weren't quite sweet enough. Made ahead so it would be nice and cold and mixed in the ginger ale just before serving. Poured it into margarita glasses for presentation. This recipe could easily be a substitute for a non-alcoholic strawberry margarita! Will definitely make again.
