  • 1/4 cup butter, cubed
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 can (14-1/2 ounces) diced tomatoes, drained
  • 1 cup tomato basil pasta sauce
  • 1 tablespoon minced fresh basil
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 package (6-1/2 ounces) garlic-herb spreadable cheese
  • 1 tablespoon prepared pesto
  • 1 French bread baguette (10-1/2 ounces), cut into 1/4-inch slices
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil


  1. Preheat oven to 350°. In a large saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add garlic; cook and stir until tender, 1-2 minutes. Add tomatoes, pasta sauce, basil, salt and pepper; heat through. Transfer to an ungreased 1-1/2 qt. shallow baking dish. Spoon cheese into center of sauce; dollop pesto over cheese. Bake, uncovered, until bubbly, 25-30 minutes.
  2. Meanwhile, brush baguette slices with oil. Arrange on ungreased baking sheets. Bake until toasted, 2-4 minutes on each side. Serve with dip.
